Home Inspection Services

Every home and every real estate transaction is different, which is why we offer several inspection options designed to meet the needs of buyers, homeowners, and sellers. Whether you are purchasing a home, building a new one, approaching the end of a builder’s warranty, or preparing to sell, our inspection process provides the same thorough and professional evaluation of the property’s major systems and components. All our services are designed to give you a clear understanding of the home’s condition so you can move forward with confidence.

Inspection Types

Buyer's Home Inspection

A Buyer’s Home Inspection provides a detailed look at the home’s condition before closing. It includes assessing the structure, roof, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other major systems for safety or repair concerns. This helps buyers make informed decisions, plan maintenance, and negotiate confidently based on accurate findings.

New Construction Inspection

New Construction Inspection ensures your newly built home meets quality and safety standards before closing. It verifies that major systems and structural components were properly installed, helping catch builder oversights early and protecting your investment from costly post-move-in repairs.

11-Month Warranty Inspection

An 11-Month Warranty Inspection helps homeowners identify defects or construction issues before the builder’s one-year warranty expires. This inspection documents needed repairs while they’re still covered, ensuring problems are corrected at the builder’s expense — not yours.

Pre-Listing Inspection

A Pre-Listing Inspection helps homeowners identify potential issues before putting their property on the market. By addressing repairs early, sellers can avoid surprises during the buyer’s inspection, build trust, and list their home with confidence.

Parts of A Home Inspection

Every inspection performed by Double Arrows is detailed, data-driven, and grounded in both the NCHILB SOP and real-world construction experience. We don’t just meet the standard — we exceed it to ensure you’re truly informed, protected, and confident in your investment.

Under the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board (NCHILB) Standards of Practice, home inspections are visual and reflect the conditions at the time of the inspection.

For example, if it hasn’t rained in two weeks and there are no visible signs of leaks during the inspection, the report will reflect that the roof and ceilings appeared dry. Since no active moisture or staining was present, there was nothing observable to indicate a leak. Conditions can change over time, and inspectors cannot predict future leaks or detect hidden moisture that isn’t visible or accessible during the inspection.
